Chen-Style Taijiquan Promotion Association
The Chen-Style Taijiquan Promotion Association USA is a nonprofit organization run by a fully volunteer-based committee and staff. Founded in 2013, the Association was established and is led by Master Chen Zhenglei—one of China’s Top Ten Martial Arts Masters, the 19th‑generation descendant of the Chen family, and the 11th‑generation lineage holder of Chen‑Style Taijiquan.
The Association’s mission is to promote Chen‑Style Taijiquan and to foster physical and mental well‑being as well as cultural exchange through Tai Chi.
Since its founding, under the guidance of Master Chen Zhenglei, the Association has been dedicated to teaching and spreading Chen‑Style Taijiquan across North America. It has trained and provided numerous outstanding instructors to various regions, becoming an important force in the global transmission of Chinese martial arts.

Our Vision
Our vision is rooted in a simple belief: Taijiquan has the power to improve human life. As a traditional art passed down through generations of the Chen family, Taiji offers a way of moving, breathing, and living that brings balance to both body and mind. In a world shaped by stress, speed, and disconnection, Taiji restores what many people have lost — steadiness, clarity, and a sense of inner harmony.
We promote Chen‑Style Taijiquan because it is a complete system of well‑being. Its slow, mindful movements strengthen the body from the inside out, improve balance and mobility, reduce stress, and cultivate mental focus. This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life. Beyond physical benefits, Taiji nurtures patience, resilience, and emotional calm — qualities that support a healthier, more grounded life at any age.
This vision is now recognized on the world stage. On November 5, 2025, UNESCO officially designated March 21st, the Spring Equinox, as International Taijiquan Day. This global observance highlights Taiji’s universal values of balance, peace, and harmony, and affirms its role in enhancing physical and mental well‑being, fostering intercultural understanding, and encouraging inclusive participation in sport and community life.
As a nonprofit organization guided by the teachings of Master Chen Zhenglei and the living Chen‑style lineage, we are committed to sharing these benefits widely. Our mission is to preserve the tradition, support high‑quality instruction, and create opportunities for people to experience Taiji as a lifelong practice that brings strength, calm, and connection.
Our Leadership Team
Our leadership team is guided by individuals who embody the spirit, discipline, and generosity of the Chen‑style Taijiquan tradition. Led by our President, supported by our Vice President, and honored by the wisdom of our Honorary President, this team brings together decades of practice, teaching experience, and community service. Each leader contributes unique strengths — from lineage knowledge to organizational stewardship — united by a shared commitment to preserving Taijiquan, nurturing a welcoming community, and promoting the lifelong health and well‑being that this art offers.
